May is for the Moms: Supported & Celebrated šŸ’

May is the month of blooming flowers, longer days, and celebrating the many forms of motherhood that make our lives fuller, louder, and a whole lot more meaningful. Whether you’re a mom, stepmom, bonus mom, grandma, or the honorary ā€œmom friendā€ who always has snacks and a backup plan—you deserve some serious appreciation.

My personal love language? Brunch and mimosas out with my family, preferably somewhere that refills my glass before I even realize it’s empty. There’s just something magical about sitting down to a meal I didn’t have to cook, sipping something bubbly, and actually finishing a hot cup of coffee for once. Honestly, that’s the dream.

At Renew, we see firsthand how much strength it takes to care for others. And not just the emotional kind (though that’s superhero level), but the physical kind too, especially when it comes to your pelvic floor. When people think of core strength, they often picture abs of steel. But your core is more like a team effort—your diaphragm, abdominal muscles, back muscles, and yes, your pelvic floor. Think of it as your body’s built-in support system, working quietly behind the scenes while you lift toddlers, carry groceries, and power through your day.

Motherhood, however it shows up in your life, can put unique demands on this system. Pregnancy, childbirth, heavy lifting (hello, 30-pound toddlers), or even just the daily hustle can challenge your pelvic floor. Your pelvic floor muscles are like a hammock supporting your bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs. When they’re working well, you don’t even notice them. When they’re not… well, they tend to make themselves known. The good news? Pelvic floor physical therapy can help you by improving bladder and bowel control, reducing pain & discomfort, supporting postpartum recovery & enhancing core strength and stability.

Pelvic floor therapy doesn’t have to stand alone—it often works best when paired with other supportive treatments that help your body relax, recover, and restore balance. We offer services that complement your care and help you feel your best, including:

  • Dry needling and compression therapy to release muscle tension and improve mobility and recovery

  • Cupping and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization to promote circulation and ease tight, overworked areas

  • Massage therapy to reduce stress, relieve soreness, and give your body the reset it deserves

Think of these as the ultimate ā€œsupport crewā€ for your core—helping everything work together more efficiently so you can move, lift, and live with less discomfort.

Whether you’re dropping a hint or shopping for a mom in your life, our services make a thoughtful and meaningful Mother’s Day gift. It’s more than relaxation, it’s care that supports long-term health, confidence, and well-being.

However you show up in the world whether it be a caregiver, nurturer, supporter, or all of the above- your health matters. You spend so much time holding everything together. Let us help support you. Because a strong pelvic floor isn’t just about muscles, it’s about confidence, freedom, and feeling like yourself again. And that’s something every kind of mom deserves. Happy Mother’s Day šŸ’›
